ALC supports BCA’s new transport proposal

THE Australian Logistics Council (ALC) has announced their support for the Business Council of Australia’s (BCA) proposal to implement a national freight plan to for road transport.

ALC says BCA proposes for the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to focus on regulatory, policy and spending needs for road infrastructure. It is believe this plan will replace current road charges with one mass-distance charging.

According ALC, they continue to push for COAG to reform the processes of having a single national heavy vehicle regulator and a national rail safety regulatory system.
