THE state’s peak trucking industry body, the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) NSW has welcomed the election of New South Wales' new Premier, Kristina Keneally.

ATA NSW manager, Jill Lewis says based on Keneally’s previous position as Minister for Planning and Infrastructure she is looking forward to building a stronger link with the state government.

“In her previous role as Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, Ms Keneally has become well versed on the needs of the state’s trucking industry, as well as the important role trucks play to the New South Wales’ economy,” Lewis says.

“The trucking industry eagerly awaits the announcement of the new NSW Ministry, and ATA NSW will be seeking an early meeting with both the Premier and Minister for Transport.”
