Australian Trucking Convention to return to Gold Coast in 2010

FOLLOWING the success of the 2009 Australian Trucking Convention, the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has announced the event will return to the Gold Coast in 2010.

The 2010 Australian Trucking Convention will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7-10 April 2010.

The Chairman of the ATA, Trevor Martyn, said the facilities at the Gold Coast were excellent.

Martyn said the ATA had planned to take the convention to Perth next year, but following concerns from exhibitors and the Transport Forum of Western Australia about the effects of the global financial crisis, and the overwhelmingly positive response from delegates to the Gold Coast venue, it decided to return to Queensland.

According to the ATA, the 2009 Convention was a great success, with delegates having the opportunity to hear from the industry’s leaders, as well as network with the best in the business.

The ATA will release more information about the 2010 Convention in the coming months.
