AUSTRALIAN engineering and infrastructure firm, Downer EDI has won $750 million worth of contracts across a number of industries including the road sector.

Downer managing director and CEO, Geoff Knox, says it demonstrates the market’s continuing confidence in the Group.

“These wins reinforce Downer’s position as a leading provider of rail manufacturing; mechanical, electrical and instrumentation contracting; road maintenance and construction; transmission lines; and consulting services across the Asia Pacific region,” Knox says.

“Our Works division has secured more than $160 million worth of contracts for clients in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and our Consulting division has secured new contracts with clients including VicRoads and AbiGroup,”

The Group continues to maintain a work-in-hand balance in excess of $16 billion.
