Isuzu Australia upgrades truck range to include GPS navigation

ISUZU Australia has announced its latest upgrade, a 13cm touchscreen audio visual (TAV) unit with on-board navigation now standard across its truck range.

According to Isuzu, the Bluetooth-equipped TAV is similar in appearance to the previous multimedia system but now incorporates touch-screen technology, with on-screen menus.

The new unit also features in-out slots for an SD card for mapping or media files, as well as USB and auxiliary inputs for MP3 players.

Navigation system hardware and software are included in the base unit, with Navteq mapping from the previous unit now programmed by iGO, the leader in navigation system programming.

Operators can also view up to three optional, external cameras using infrared technology, with one camera also able to transmit sound, for safer reversing and negotiating tight spots.
