Lindsay Transport secures $12m Coles deal

LINDSAY Transport has secured a $12 million freight cartage contract for Coles supermarkets.

The Queensland-based transport operator announced the new deal late last week and will begin moving the additional freight on 20 April 2009.

Lindsay Transport’s client base also include Simplot Australia, Cadbury Schweppes, IGA Supermarkets and Woolworths and freight is shared amongst the company’s 700 vehicles and trailers, including 180 prime movers.
