Technical and Maintenance Conference announces key themes for 2009

THE AUSTRALIAN Trucking Association (ATA) has announced preparation is well underway on the program for the 2009 Technical and Maintenance Conference, with its key themes just announced.

Along with a new venue, the 2009 event will see a fresh approach to the sessions on offer, including a wide range of expert technical presentations, as well as more practical and hands-on sessions.

Among the topics to be discussed this year are alternative fuels, global regulations, innovative vehicles, PBS, electrical systems, trailer technology, advance brake technologies, IAP Monitoring and transport safety equipment innovations.

Also included at this year’s TMC is the TruckSafe members’ forum, which will provide a platform for TruckSafe members to find out how to improve their businesses.

Already proven leaders in safety management, the forum will allow TruckSafe members to share information with each other, find out about the latest improvements in risk management and speak with auditors about what they will be focusing on and what concerns they have.

The 2009 TMC is being held at Silverwater Resort, San Remo, Phillip Island from 15-17 November 2009.
